2The Dell Adamo
The Adamo laptop, which weighs about 4 pounds and is about 0.65 inches thick, debuted in March and showed that Dell is interested in design as well as in more traditional laptops.

The Adamo is milled from a single piece of aluminum and features a scalloped backlit keyboard and a glass high-definition edge-to-edge display, measuring 13.4 inches by 16.9 inches. The glass design also helps the laptop’s wireless system.

With the Adamo, Dell looked to capture a high-end laptop market that includes the Apple MacBook Air and the Lenovo ThinkPad X301. The Adamo costs between $2,000 and $2,699.

There are no obvious labels on the Adamo. The only indication that the Adamo uses Microsoft Windows and Intel processors is a subtle etched label on the back of the notebook.

Dell recently brought out the Inspiron Mini 10v as a less expensive version of its Mini 10 line. This particular netbook starts at about $299.

The Dell Studio One 19 is an all-in-one desktop that recently began selling in the United States and Europe. The Studio One 19 offers a 19-inch display and supports several applications that take advantage of multitouch technology.

The Dell Studio 15 is one of several notebooks where Dell has emphasized design as part of the user experience. These laptops offer a number of Intel processors, up to 8GB of DDR2 (double data rate 2) memory, 500GB hard disk drives and a choice of Intel or ATI Radeon graphics.

The Inspiron Mini 10 is one of several netbooks that Dell sells. The Mini 10 sells for about $349 and offers a 10.1-inch display, an Intel Atom processor, choice of a hard disk drive or solid state drive, and 802.11 b/g and draft-n wireless technologies.

The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 also offers a built-in television tuner, and soon Dell will sell an antenna as well, which will allow users to tune into live, local broadcasts on their laptops. Dell had this netbook tuned in to the local Fox affiliate in New York.

Dell announced that it is revamping its Inspiron desktop lineup with eight different color choices. These minitower desktops also include Intel processors, ATI Radeon graphics, 4GB of dual-channel memory, six USB ports and 750GB hard disk drives.

Starting at $1,099, the Studio XPS 16 is one of Dell’s high-end consumer laptops. The notebook includes a 16-inch display, Intel Core 2 Duo processors, an Intel PM45 chip set, up to 8GB of main memory and a 500GB hard drive. Dell also offers an 128GB SSD option.

The Dell Alienware Area-51 is designed for serious gamers, and includes Intel’s newer Core i7 965 processor and ATI’s Radeon 4870 X2 graphics card. There’s also room for 12GB of DDR3 memory and 4TB of data storage.

This is Dell’s gaming notebook, the Alienware M17. The notebook uses an Intel Core 2 Extreme quad-core processor and offers 8GB of DDR3 memory and up to 1TB of data storage. The Alienware M17 also uses ATI Radeon HD 3870 graphics cards.

The Dell Studio XPS 13 offers the many of the same features as the XPS 16, except it has a smaller, 13-inch display and uses an Nvidia MCP79MX chip set.
