Turns out even an LLM can learn to admit "I don't know."

Anthropic is betting on a $65 billion funding round and a $965 billion valuation that buyers will pay for the candor. Its new Claude Opus 4.8 model is 4× more likely to flag coding flaws than Opus 4.7, trims hallucinated code, and lets teams dial effort up or down so the meter only runs when it matters. There's also a 3× cheaper "fast mode" to save cash.

Under the hood, a "dynamic workflows" preview can unleash swarms of up to 1,000 parallel subagents to blitz tasks like codebase-wide migrations. Google Cloud, Microsoft Foundry and Copilot, AWS, Snowflake, and GitHub Copilot have already wired it in. Meanwhile, Anthropic is teasing a more advanced sibling, Mythos, once the safety locks click into place for its cybersecurity capabilities.

I'm itching to see whether these self-critiquing agent swarms actually slash review cycles or just creatively rack up massive token bills.

Why it matters: Opus 4.8's honesty push tackles the trust gap keeping many orgs from putting agents on autopilot. Coupled with eye-watering scale and a valuation that now edges out OpenAI, Anthropic just raised the bar, and the stakes, for enterprise AI.

Asana Drops $75M on StackAI Execution Play

Asana just bought no-code agent builder StackAI for about $75 million, folding the YC-backed startup into its push to be "the operating system for human-agent teams." (StackAI will, however, continue to operate under its own brand.)

StackAI lets enterprises drag-and-drop no-code agents that read and write across Salesforce, Oracle, AWS, DocuSign, and more, so workflows actually finish themselves instead of dying in a project board.

The deal plugs the biggest hole in Asana's AI pitch: execution. AI Studio sets up triggers, AI Teammates take lightweight tasks, and now StackAI supplies the hands that reach into every system to click the buttons—a capability Asana desperately needed just to keep pace in an AI arms race against rivals like monday.com, ServiceNow, ClickUp, and Jira.

Financial timing helps. Asana's Q1 revenue rose 9.5% to $205.1 million, and its operating margin hit a record 11.5%, giving new CEO Dan Rogers breathing room to shop while the stock is still down more than 50% from pre-chatbot days.

Now, can Asana persuade risk-averse CIOs that a no-code agent won't spawn ungoverned chaos before competitors spin up their own robo-interns? Luckily, StackAI already has a proven track record in heavily regulated industries like banking and healthcare, which should help soothe those enterprise compliance fears.

Charter Breach Exposes Millions of Spectrum Accounts

Charter Communications has confirmed a cybersecurity incident after the ShinyHunters extortion gang leaked customer data online.

Although the hackers claim to have stolen 42 million records, Have I Been Pwned tallies 4.9 million unique accounts, while Cybernews warns the haul could reach 13 million.

Investigators say an April 1 voice-phishing scam hijacked an employee's Microsoft Entra login, opening the door to Charter's Salesforce instance and a trove of names, email and physical addresses, phone numbers, and plan details.

However, the telco insists no "sensitive" CPNI (customer proprietary network information) was taken. (The attackers also managed to nab data on up to 85,000 of Charter's own employees along the way.)

Spectrum customers should change account passwords, enable multifactor authentication, and watch for tailored phishing emails or calls. Enterprises should lock down single-sign-on flows, audit OAuth integrations, and add vishing drills to security training.

A friendly reminder: sometimes the weakest link still answers the phone.

Voice-Cloning Scams Hit New High—Here's Your Playbook

The FBI tied a staggering $893 million in losses to AI scams overall last year, and CNN reports that "voice cloning" cons are a massive part of the explosion.

Fraudsters need only a few scraped social-media seconds or a compromised voicemail (like the 2025 breach that left 1.6 million gym recordings completely exposed) to mimic your loved one or boss. They then phone in a fake kidnapping, accident, or urgent work crisis and demand cash—one California mom sent $5,400 before realizing her daughter was safe at work.

Experts urge slowing down because many mainstream AI-detection tools are currently as accurate as flipping a coin.

Hang up, call the relative back on a known number, or ask for a predetermined family code word. If the caller is a colleague or client, verify the request through a separate, approved internal channel. Ignore any plea for secrecy, limit the audio you post publicly, and never move money until you've confirmed the crisis elsewhere.

If the voice sounds panicked, your wallet shouldn't be.

Disney Leak Hints Hulu App Sunset

A leaked Disney road map, dubbed "Project Gemini," spells out plans to decommission the Hulu app once all users migrate to Disney+ by year's end—even as official spokespeople insist there are "no current plans" to shutter it.

Engineers say resources are already flowing to Disney+, leaving Hulu "on life support." It's a classic industry shakeup and consolidation play meant to slash duplicate tech stacks and juice ad targeting under one super-app, much like Warner Bros. Discovery's chaotic birth of Max.

For subscribers, the smart move is to link Hulu and Disney+ profiles now so watchlists, history, and recommendations survive the merger. Inside the Disney+ app or website, sign in with the same MyDisney login and follow the prompt to merge accounts. (Just note that profile linking isn't available yet for Live TV plans, and standard adult profiles are still rolling out.)
