Ariba Inc. has released the newest version of its Ariba Sourcing product, which offers buyers complete RFQ (request for quotation) and supplier sourcing capabilities.
With the RFQ process automated, buyers can save time and money on their procurement efforts, said officials at the Mountain View, Calif., company.
Ariba Sourcing gives users access to such RFQ features as applications, bulletin boards and real-time bidding. The product also builds into each RFQ discussion threads that allow for real-time collaboration between buyers and suppliers. An RFQBuilder tool enables users to create RFQs and invite suppliers to participate.
