1RealPresence CloudAXIS Suite
Polycom’s cloud-based solution is the cornerstone of the vendor’s massive rollout of new and enhanced products. The software suite enables Polycom RealPresence users to easily connect to colleagues, partners and customers who are using other collaboration platforms, including Skype, Facebook and Google Talk, through private and public clouds through a browser and outside the firewall. The CloudAXIS Suite offers enterprises an easier way to collaborate with more people, and it allows service providers to create new services to help expand their subscriber base. Here, the CloudAXIS Suite shows the global directory pulling in presence-based contacts from social or business apps.
2Next-Generation Video Endpoints

5Acoustic Bundle
The acoustic technology that comes with the Group 300 and 500 endpoints offers very clear video calls, including the company’s ConstantClarity technology for high-quality audio and video fidelity. Polycom also is introducing its NoiseCancel technology, which helps eliminate unwanted noises, such as keyboard typing and paper shuffling.
6Smartphone and Tablets
Polycom updated its RealPresence Desktop software for PCs and notebooks running Windows and Mac OS X, and its RealPresence Mobile software for tablets and smartphones running Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android operating systems. Video conferencing is moving out of conference rooms, thanks to such trends as BYOD, mobile computing and social networking.
7SmartPairing
With Polycom’s SmartPairing technology in its RealPresence Mobile 2.0 software, Apple iPads can be wirelessly connected to Group Series systems, HDX series endpoints and VisualEdge technology, enabling users to control video meetings via their tablets and transfer a live video call from the iPad to a big screen with the swipe of a finger.
8Verticals
With the RealPresence CloudAXIS, service providers can offer new video conferencing services aimed at particular industries. In this case, civilians and military personnel collaborate via Polycom solutions, including its SmartPairing technology, which lets users control the video meeting through their iPads.
9VisualEdge
Polycom’s VisualEdge endpoint technology offers an ultra-slim design with high-end desktop video capabilities, according to the company. The 27-inch screen can also be used as a desktop monitor, and features Polycom’s StereoSurround and NoiseCancel audio technology.
