A Look at Lenovo’s New Smartphones, Tablets and a Portable Projector

Lenovo’s Vibe Shot smartphone features a 5-inch HD display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 1.7GHz eight-core processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in on-board storage (expandable to 128GB with a micro SD card), all running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

To Lenovo, the new Vibe Shot is what the company considers to be a digital camera crossed with a full-featured smartphone. The 16MP rear camera includes a low-light sensor, optical image stabilization and auto-focus for great images. Also included is an 8MP front selfie camera.

The Vibe Shot includes a thin and light aluminum frame and will be available in crimson, pearl white or graphite gray. Also featured is a 2,900mAh battery as well as 4G LTE, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. It will be available only in select countries around the globe.

The new A7000 smartphone is one of the first phones to include Dolby Atmos technology for great audio when using headphones. The A7000, which features 4G LTE connectivity, will be available in select countries.

The A7000 also features a 5.5-in HD display, a MediaTek 4G LTE True8Core processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB of built-in internal storage and a 2,900mAh Li-polymer removable battery. The phone runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system and can run dual-SIM cards.

With an 8MP auto-focus rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP fixed-focus front camera, the A7000 captures quality images. The 4.9-ounce smartphone will be available in onyx black or pearl white, and is 5.5 inches in long, 2.8 inches wide and .3 inches thick.

The MIIX 300 is an 8-inch entry-level tablet that runs on Microsoft Windows 8.1. The pocket-size device is priced at $149 and includes an In-Plane Switching (IPS) LCD display, an Intel Atom processor, up to 2GB of DDR3L RAM and a one-year subscription to Microsoft Office 365.

Lenovo’s new Pocket Projector is a small, portable projector that is easily carried and attached to a compatible Miracast or DNLA-enabled Android, Windows 8.1 or iOS device. It can display images, video or presentations on any wall or surface from up to 110 inches away.

The Pocket Projector displays colorful, vivid and bright images and automatically corrects for distortion while allowing users to rotate the unit up to 90 degrees to get the best views. Dual speakers are built in, and 32GB of on-board storage is included. Pricing starts at $249.

The Android-powered Tab 2 A8 tablet features an 8-inch HD display, a MediaTek 64-bit 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of on-board storage and Dolby Atmos audio capabilities, all while also including the connectivity of a smartphone.

With a MediaTek MT8165 1.5GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM, the Tab 2 A10-70 includes a 10.1-inch FHD touch-screen display, 16GB of on-board storage, an 8MP auto-focus rear camera, a 5MP fixed-focus front camera and a 7,000mAh battery. It runs on Android 4.4.
