2The Dell Vostro 3000 Series
The Vostro 3000 series includes the 13-inch 3300, pictured here, as well as a 14-inch 3400, a 15-inch 3500 and a 17-inch 3700. All models, constructed of aluminum bodies with zinc hinges, are available in silver, brown and red.
3Vostro 3300
The 3300 includes an optical drive and, like the other 3000 models, offers an integrated Webcam, microphone and range of connectivity options, including 802.11 g/n wireless, Bluetooth and WWAN mobile broadband.
4Vostro 3400
The 14-inch Vostro 3400, seen here, offers up to eight hours of battery life with the option of a 9-cell battery.
5Vostro 3500
The 15-inch Vostro 3500, seen here, and the 17-inch 3700 offer the option of high-definition WLED screens. All models run Microsoft Windows 7, offer “set and forget” online data backup and come with the option of ProSupport, for 24/7 help with IT issues.
6Vostro 3700
The “high-heel” on the 17-inch 3700 is an extended battery option. The 3700 can also be outfitted with an Intel Core i7 Quad Core processor. Pricing begins around $650 for the 3700 and under $600 for the three smaller models in the series.
7Precision M4500
The 15.6-inch Dell Precision M4500 mobile workstation, called the worlds most powerful in its size, is a sibling to the 17-inch M6500. Its available with an Intel Core i7-920XM Quad Core Extreme Edition processor or Core i7 or Core i5 processors, linked to 1,066MHz and 1,333MHz of memory. Other options include Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M or Quadro FX 880M graphics with 1GB of dedicated memory.
8Precision M4500
The M4500 weighs 6 pounds, runs Windows 7 and offers an HD+ sRGB LED screen, a 3-megapixel webcam and Gobi 2.0 technology for just-about-anywhere mobile broadband support. Pricing, while unannounced, should be in the ballpark of the M6500.
