Microsoft and Bank One, the nations sixth-largest bank holding company, announced on Friday a three-year joint marketing and services deal, valued at $30 million.
Under the agreement, Bank One will use the MSN Advantage Marketing Program to promote Bank Ones financial services, in areas like MSN Money, and tap Microsofts .Net Alerts Services to reach customers with reminders about account activity, bill payments, etc.
Bank One will also employ Microsoft Great Plains technology and the Microsoft bCentral small-business portal to deliver financial services to small and midsize businesses.
In turn, Bank One will market MSN Internet Access to its customers. Microsoft and Bank One said they would consider developing and promoting additional new products and services.
Microsoft said the agreement is one of the largest commitments to the MSN Advantage Marketing Program.
